Ad of the Week – TD Ameritrade

TD Ameritrade make use of Lionel Richie’s personal brand – a wholesome, loved pop icon – to induce trust and alleviate the lingering scepticism and doubt that the public has towards Bitcoin and Crypto (digital) currencies in general.

By first airing the ad on TV (during the Super Bowl), and then across Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, it’s a strong example of how TV has evolved past the traditional medium and how these new media platforms have disrupted large parts of this market.
