Ad of the Week – Smirnoff

With engaging music and visuals Smirnoff Vodka have made a yet another entertaining and fun ad.

The ad starts with a person on a bike who simply looks like your “typical” woman, the ad then cuts to multiple scenes of the London nightlife (particularly the drag scene) where you see men with beards applying lipstick as well as very ‘fishy queens’ doing their makeup.

The final scene of the ad has bold text reading “LABELS ARE FOR BOTTLES, NOT PEOPLE”. This is a brand who knows how to make a good ad, but also uses their fame as a platform to speak out on important issues such as gender & sexuality.
