An Ideal Husband Opens at Vaudeville Theatre
Last week I went to see An Ideal Husband at the Vaudeville Theatre. It is the third play in the Oscar Wilde season currently being run by our client Classic Spring Theatre Company.
Having opened the season with a very good production of A Woman of No Importance, followed by Jennifer Saunders’ hilarious performance in Lady Windermere’s Fan, the next Wilde instalment had high expectations to live up to.
The first half took some time to get going as the scene was set, and it was in the second half where the play really gained momentum. Freddie Fox stole the show with his portrayal of the cheeky and flamboyant Lord Goring – he had the audience in fits of laughter on many occasions!
The show is now playing at the Vaudeville Theatre, London, until Saturday 14 July 2018, tickets can be purchased here.
